Concussions are more common in practices than in games in high-school and college football, according to a recent study in Jama Pediatrics.  One reason is that there are many more practices than games.  Evaluating and modifying techniques used during practice may offer opportunities for prevention, experts say.  They suggest some limiting of player to player contact and full body contact in practices and using dummies and sleds more often.
