The annual PIAA wrestling tournament can leave the student athletes who participate in it with a variety of injuries, ranging from minor to severe. Luckily, Stephen R. Soffer, M.D., is here to help PIAA wrestlers recover from injuries and get back to doing what they love. As a doctor who is fellowship trained by Dr. James Andrews, a world-renowned sports surgeon, Dr. Soffer has the skills and experience needed to diagnose and treat any sports injury. Due to his expertise in sports medicine, he is repeatedly called on by high school league competitors and professional athletes alike for advice regarding surgical procedures, recuperative strategy, longterm injury management and much more. Furthermore, Dr. Soffer is known for using minimally invasive procedures such as arthroscopic surgery whenever possible to allow patients to resume their active lifestyles as quickly as possible.

In addition to being a tournament doctor for PIAA wrestling competitors, Dr. Soffer also offers his services to many other types of athletes. For years, he has been the Official Sports Medicine Provider for a variety of athletic organizations, including Reading Express Indoor Football, Berks Gymnastics, Reading Rage and Reading United Soccer, as well as a long list of high schools and colleges.
